Amber Frias

Reporter at NBC San Diego

Amber is a bilingual reporter for NBC and Telemundo San Diego. Prior to joining NBC, she was a news reporter at KGET TV17.

Born and raised in California, Amber attended the California Polytechnic University of Pomona where she studied journalism.

In college, she wrote for The Poly Post and she co-founded Cal Poly Pomona’s first online radio station: CPP RadioActive. As a founding member and secretary of the board, Amber set up live performances and helped give local musicians a spotlight on campus.
