hi, i’m colleen. i’m a freelance reporter and writer based in D.C.

i previously spent three years as a general assignment reporter at DCist.com and WAMU 88.5, the NPR affiliate for the D.C. region. my work spanned several local beats, but i tend to prioritize stories that deal with health inequities, the intersection of labor and healthcare, and criminal justice. i also love uncovering silly, absurd, or delightful curiosities. and writing about cats.
