Doug MacMillan is a corporate accountability reporter for The Washington Post. Since 2019, he has investigated corporate misconduct across industries, exposing issues such as a privacy coverup at Google, safety lapses at Boeing, and regulatory gaps in the nation's largest lifeguard training program.

MacMillan spent nearly a decade covering technology companies for The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg News from their San Francisco bureaus.

He holds a B.A. in English from Vanderbilt University and an M.A. in Journalism from Columbia University, where he was a Knight-Bagehot Fellow in Business Journalism. His work has earned numerous accolades, including the Gerald Loeb Award for Breaking News (2019).
