
Dr. Cleamon Moorer, Jr.
Cleamon is the Co-founder and President of Partners in Wellness Management, LLC., President and CEO of American Advantage Home Care, Inc., host of the Home Health Care Today Show, and Founding Executive Director of Eye Care for Detroit, Inc.
American Advantage Home Care (AAHC) is a Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services Certified and Joint-Commission-accredited agency that provides skilled in-home care to hundreds of patients. AAHC is ranked as a 2022 top 50 business-to-watch by the Michigan Celebrates Small Business and a Comcast RISE award recipient. Moorer strategically worked to drive the growth of AAHC by over 1000% in an 18-month period.
The Home Health Care Today Show is an award-winning podcast and webcast designed to inform, educate, and to inspire the home health care community of Metro Detroit and beyond. It has earned 2021, and 2022 “Gold Awards” in the podcast category by the HealthCare Advertising Association and the Service Industry Award Association.
Cleamon is also an author of several peer-reviewed journal articles and most recently he was added as a contributor to the Forbes Business Council and Entrepreneur Magazine’s Leadership Network. His memoir, From Failure to Promise: 360 Degrees, has held the #1 spot on Amazon in the genre of Educator’s Biographies on multiple occasions. In this memoir, he chronicled his journey from being a college flunk-out at Kettering University and overcoming academic and professional challenges to ultimately return to Kettering University to serve as an assistant professor in 2013.
Experienced as an administrator, engineer, consultant, educator, and civic leader. Cleamon was a business school dean at Madonna University and Baker College, and a professor at multiple universities in Illinois and Michigan. Named a Modern Man of Distinction by Black Enterprise Magazine in 2017, and given the title, Mr. Higher Learning by the magazine’s editorial board.
He was responsible for leading Madonna University’s business school to initial accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and reaffirmation of Baker College’s business programs accreditation by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE). Under, Cleamon’s leadership, business school graduates ranked the best in the nation on the standardized, Educational Testing Service (ETS) field exam.
He has been recognized both locally and nationally for outstanding leadership and contributions. In 2022, Cleamon was recognized by the Kettering/GMI Alumni Association (KGMIAA) for Entrepreneurial Achievement and in 2011 for Civic Achievement, then named a Rising Star by Benedictine University’s Alumni Association (2014). A Spirit of Detroit Honoree (2015) recognized by the Detroit City Council. Named to “40 under 40” lists by Crain’s Detroit Business (2014), Michigan Chronicle (2015), and The Network Journal-NYC (2015). One of DBusiness Magazine’s 30 in their Thirties (2015), Detroit Pistons Game Changer (2016) and a Golden Hammer Award Winner by Habitat for Humanity – Macomb County (2019). In 2022, CORP! Magazine named him a Most Valuable Professional (MVP) as an entrepreneur.
Dr. Moorer sits on the boards of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Greater Flint, CVF Credit Union, Habitat for Humanity - Detroit, and the Michigan Home Care and Hospice Association.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Kettering University, double-master’s degrees from Benedictine University, a Doctor of Business Administration from Argosy University, a certificate in Business Excellence for Health Professionals from Cornell.
