Brief Bio for Dr. Harold Goldmeier

Harold has been married to Ethel Sarah for 55 years. He teaches American Politics, Business Development & Management at Touro College Israel after teaching for 6 years in Tel Aviv. Harold is a Managing Partner of an investment firm, a consultant to firms in commerce and industry, a writer on finance, public, and social policy, and a public speaker about current events. He teaches American Politics for college credits at Touro College & University System in Jerusalem and New York.

Goldmeier began his career as an elementary public school teacher and civil rights worker. He was a Research and Teaching Fellow at Harvard, earning a doctorate. Before the pandemic, one of his last engagements was a presentation to high schoolers about the sources of the U.S. Civil Rights Movement and its impact on today’s politics…the unfinished business of Diversity and Equity.

Harold taught Mid-East Politics, Business Management & Marketing, Modern Zionism & Values & Ethics courses to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem international university students. His speaking tours about these subjects have taken him to the US, Germany, and Israel. Harold writes for international firms specializing in futuristic topics about healthcare & medicine, business management & investment, marketing & culture, and human rights.

Dr. Goldmeier received the Governor’s Award (Illinois) for family investment programs in the workplace from the Com. on the Status of Women. He worked in the administrations of four Governors on education, juvenile justice, public health issues, immigration, and adoption. Harold was a member of the small Education Services Department team of the Illinois Commission on Human Relations in the 1960s desegregating public schools.

Harold was Exec Dir of the Massachusetts Com for Children & Youth under two governors. He Chaired the Workforce Youth Council for Mayor Daley distributing up to $30m annually. Dr. Goldmeier served as a Special Program Evaluator on Maternal and Child Health for the U. S. Surgeon General and Eunice Shriver at the Special Olympics Foundation. He served as a Board Member of All-American Bank. He built and served as President of a private company with 70 employees.

His first book is HEALTHCARE INSIGHTS: BETTER CARE BETTER BUSINESS. He is a book reviewer for publishing houses across the world. Harold contributed a series of articles to the Gale Business Insights Handbook of Investment Research (2013). His articles and book reviews appear on Scholars for Peace in the Middle East, The Jerusalem Post, Seeking Alpha, a financial website, Life in Israel, Arutz Sheva, and Times of Israel. He was a correspondent for the Atlanta Jewish Times.
