Eva Dou is an award-winning American journalist covering technology policy for the Washington Post.
She was a staff correspondent for the Wall Street Journal, filing stories across politics, trade, technology, human rights, religion, society and law, in China and Taiwan. Her 2019 investigation into forced labor supply chains in China's Xinjiang region helped spark an ongoing U.S. government review of trade policies with the region. She was part of the 2018 WSJ team that won international Loeb and SOPA awards for a series on China's surveillance state.
A Detroit native, she holds economics and journalism degrees from the University of Missouri.
