Lily Martis is a writer, editor and web producer based in New York City. Originally from the greater Toledo, Ohio area, Lily holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism, with a concentration in magazine writing and a minor in fashion media from Kent State University.

Currently, Lily works at Monster Worldwide, the job platform, where she creates content about business, career and money topics for Monster’s Career Advice blog, with the aim to both drive content marketing initiatives and help job seekers find better. Her two favorite things are content writing and data analysis—and finding creative opportunities to combine the two. She also loves to collaborate with video script writing, social media, public relations and graphic design. Her work has been syndicated by Business Insider, Fortune and Fast Company.

Previously, Lily interned at VH1, where she wrote for the music and celebrity online blogs and contributed to the editorial team’s research efforts. Depending on the day, she’s probably either listening to The Black Keys, Kanye West or Lady Gaga. But if there’s one thing you can count on her for, it’s that she is always keeping up with the Kardashians.

In her free time, Lily enjoys outdoor activities, including running along the East River, getting lost in Central Park and sunbathing on Coney Island. An avid sports fan, Lily loves watching football on the weekends. (Go, Browns!)

If you find her in the kitchen, proceed with caution. While Lily loves to try new recipes and foods (the healthier, the better!), she is still figuring out what, exactly, a broiler does and what you can (or, better yet, can not) put in a microwave. When all else fails, she’ll happily settle for a cup of noodles and a glass of wine.

Fashion has always been a special interest for Lily. Her style is simple and classic and, in true New York City form, tends to fall toward the darker end of the gray scale. She loves a good sale and spends way too much time adding items to her online shopping cart. Her style icons include Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss and, of course, the Kardashian-Jenner family.
