I write the story for BBC News online and create packages or appear live on BBC Spotlight, Politics South West and BBC Radio Devon as well as producing material for BBC social media accounts.

I was previously a Senior Journalist with BBC News online - news editing, writing and sub-editing stories from across the south west.

Before the BBC I was working in newspapers with three-year stints at the south west's regional daily paper, the Western Morning News and the much-loved newspaper in Cornwall, The West Briton.

I'm also a part-time musician and appear at venues around the south west, playing tenor sax and singing with The Jazz Vagabonds and The Swing Empire.
