Patience Mutsetse

Patience is a gender equality & social inclusion specialist and qualified social worker with extensive knowledge and experience in gender mainstreaming.

Patie is passionate about feminist leadership and women’s rights advocacy as she tackles issues on gender, inclusion and diversity through freelance writing, poetry, spoken word performances and executing the primary roles of social work which include being an educator, researcher, lobbyist, advocate, activist, facilitator and manager.

As a AGYW SRH Champion she has special interests in promoting SRH Education, Menstrual Health Management, access to Maternal Health Services and addressing Period Poverty and Obstetric Violence. She is also enthusiastic about dismantling Harmful Traditional Practices and proffering gender sensitive and responsive solutions to SGBV pandemic, with particular focus on Child Marriages, Teenage Pregnancies, Adolescent Motherhood, Female Genital Mutilation, Sexual Violence, Unpaid Care Work and Online Gendered Harassment.

Patie is also a proud feminist writer whose articles on feminism, young black women, mental health, cyber misogyny, women in politics, marriage and other gender related issues have reached diverse groups women across the globe.
