We don't typically hire the number-crunching, spent-their-whole-life-in-finance individuals. What we really find with the ultra high-net-worth client, being able to relate to their advisers (and finding) an adviser who can truly make money meaningful to that client is truly important. Hiring people from industries or areas or backgrounds that are highly relevant to the type of client they are going to be working with leads to a lot more success.
