Adesuwa Elaiho began her culinary journey at Colorado State University and soon after receiving her degree, she continued on to Paris, France to study culinary arts at Le Cordon Bleu. She was the first student to receive all four diplomas offered at Le Cordon Bleu. She is also set to be featured on The Food Channel's Halloween Baking Championship, and has been featured on numerous TV segments and cooking events. Her brand Asukar started as a labor of love; Adesuwa would make cakes for family and friends whenever they had special events come up and before she knew it, her side hustle was a real business.
Starting out of her parents' kitchen, Asukar has since grown into a full-service culinary operation, producing hundreds of cakes per year and catering dozens of events each year. No matter how the brand evolves over the years, one thing remains the same. This will always be a labor of love for Adesuwa.
Creating amazing cakes from the ground up truly invigorates her. When she listens to a client's story and vision for their special project or event, she is inspired by their ideas. This inspiration is the driving force for her and the Asukar team to create something they could have never imagined, but always wanted. What's more exciting than that?
An all-new season premieres Monday, September 11 at 9|8c.
