With more than 30 years of industry experience, Alison Flynn Gaffney most recently served as the interim Chief Operating Officer with the University of Utah Health, Hospitals & Clinics, where she had executive and financial oversight for all inpatient and ambulatory operations across the more than $3 billion integrated healthcare system. Gaffney also spearheaded initiatives to support and enhance patient and stakeholder experience and developed a healthcare system master-planning office, as well as led the hospital and clinics teams in the development of multiple facilities expansions, including co-leading a new, more than 1-million-square-foot healthcare and academic campus. When open in 2027, this endeavor will provide an historically marginalized community new access to healthcare, education and professional opportunities.
