Amy Nichols is a seasoned executive and entrepreneur in the pet and animal welfare industry. Starting her career as the founder of DogTopia in 2002, Amy grew the company from a single brick and mortar to over 225 locations via franchising. From DogTopia, Amy transitioned into working with The Humane Society of The United States as Vice President of Companion Animals and Equine Protection. During her tenure at the Humane Society, Amy spearheaded the organization's vaccination campaign which resulted in over 55,000 spays and neuters in just 18 months. With her determination to make care accessible for all pet parents, Ms. Nichols became a mentor to Kinship, a division of Mars Petcare, which provides a vast array of services to pet parents by combining insights, products, and services to help people become the best pet parents they can be.
With her focus on care and experience building a business from the ground up, Amy joined GoDog in Spring 2023, taking on the role of CEO for the premier pet hospitality, boarding and daycare facility. In this position, Amy will utilize the power of franchising to grow the business without forgoing quality.
Amy received her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of Maryland.
