Autumn Shelton is Chief Financial Officer of Autumn Brands, a commercial cannabis operation in Santa Barbara, California. 50% woman-owned Autumn Brands stands out as a sixth-generation, family-run operation with a health-centered holistic focus on sustainable farming. Autumn Brands champions the health and wellness benefits of cannabis and is committed to cultivation free of pesticides and other harmful chemicals.
As CFO, Autumn is in charge of marketing, compliance, legal, human resources, and finance. Shelton and the other three owners work as a team to strategically make major corporate decisions, managing the overall operations that lead to the organizations’ long and short-term blueprint.
Autumn has been successfully navigating the unchartered waters of California’s medical marijuana collective model and the legal cannabis industry since 2015 and is a sought-after panelist and public speaker on the nuts and bolts of operating a licensed California cannabis cultivation business. In 2021, under Autumn Shelton's leadership as President of CARP Growers, the cannabis industry association concluded a year-long negotiation and reached a historic agreement between the CARP Growers and the Santa Barbara County Coalition for Responsible Cannabis on a cooperative agreement for odor abatement.
Before moving to the agricultural sector, Shelton was REO Asset officer at Santa Barbara Bank & Trust, managing their foreclosed residential and commercial portfolio. Previously, Shelton started her own company, Platform Real Estate, to focus on the REO (foreclosure) market.
Autumn lives with her husband and son in Santa Barbara, California, and enjoys traveling in her free time. She graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a minor in Italian.
