Aziz Abu Sarah is the co-founder and co-CEO of MEJDI Tours. Aziz is a recognized peacebuilder who works across the globe as a cultural educator, responsible travel innovator and inspirational speaker. His educational and conflict resolution work throughout the world has earned him the Institute of International Education’s Goldberg Prize for Peace in the Middle East, the European Parliament’s Silver Rose Award, the Eisenhower Medal for Leadership and Service, and the Eliav-Sartawi Award for his journalism work in the Middle East. Aziz also received the Intercultural Innovation Award from the UN Alliance of Civilizations and the BMW Group and was recognized by UNSG Ban Ki-moon for his work in peacebuilding.
Aziz is a member of The Explorers Club, a National Geographic Explorer and a TED Fellow. He is also a prolific speaker and has given talks at the United Nations, European Parliament, TED and NEXUS, and Georgetown, Yale and Harvard universities. His articles in the New York Times, National Geographic, Haaretz and the Jerusalem Post touch upon tourism, political analysis and peacebuilding. Aziz continues to be at the forefront of peace and reconciliation efforts in conflict zones and has worked in 60 countries.
