Barney Hussey-Yeo
Barney is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Cleo AI. While working as a data scientist in London, he realized he was hitting his overdraft each month and needed a genuinely engaging product that would help him get a grip on his finances and fight back against the banks. Barney built the first version of Cleo over six years ago, with the belief that AI-powered conversational interfaces would one day become the norm for managing personal finances. He has since scaled the company to success in the US, supported by over $137m in funding from top tier VCs including Balderton, EQT Ventures, and Sofina. With millions of users, more than $50m ARR, and 2.4x year on year growth, Barney's long term vision is to create a world where money is no longer the number one cause of stress in our lives.
