I am a research and development scientist interested in investigating host pathogen interactions and mucosal immunology. I have over 12 years of experience studying mucosal immune responses in the lung, GI tract and eye. I have extensive research experience in flow cytometry, tissue culture, ELISA/MSD, qPCR, LC/MS/MS lipidomics, confocal microscopy, mouse models of disease, bacterial and viral propagation and assay development. I am enthusiastic about science education and communication with the general public. I have a Masters in Public Health (MPH) in Infectious Diseases from University of California, Berkeley and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Immunology from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
