  • If you don’t have three weeks of spare time to go to bucolic Maine because you’re working a job, you know that residency is not going to be for you. We like [artists] to utilize the National Arts Club as a canvas for their artwork. It could manifest as simply coming into our place and having a drink and interacting with people. It could be doing a performance or a presentation. It could be working with other artists that are members to work on their artwork and to bring it forward. It could also be offering to present their artwork to our membership and the public for potential funding opportunities. For us, it’s very much an open palette, where we say: we’re happy to bring you on board as an artist fellow. Come and engage with the club in a way that makes sense to you.
