After navigating 15 years of personal challenges, including addiction and mental health struggles, the founder of TRUE Addiction & Behavioral Health, Benjamin Dobbs, embarked on a transformative journey toward a healthier lifestyle. Driven by his own recovery from a 10-month long-term program, Ben developed a profound desire to support others facing similar battles with addiction and mental health issues.
Fueled by a passion to aid those in the throes of struggles he once knew intimately, Ben committed himself to the service of individuals and communities seeking positive change. His newfound perspective—anchored in the values of family, community, and faith—inspired him to explore the possibilities life had to offer.
Entering the behavioral healthcare industry with an entry-level position as a behavioral health technician, Ben evaluated treatment methods and recognized the need for more innovative solutions. Understanding that his mission would require a lot of hard work, dedication, and extensive research, Ben was driven by the belief that ending suffering for those seeking change was a cause greater than any personal sacrifice he’d have to make.
Motivated to contribute more significantly to the field of behavioral health, Ben next expanded his formal education, earning degrees in theology, ministry, psychology, clinical counseling, human services, and leadership. Then, with over 13 years of experience serving various organizations under his belt, Ben finally felt prepared to apply his acquired knowledge and implement his philosophies in the treatment industry.
Recognized for his ability to elevate facility operations, Ben seized the opportunity to create TRUE. With a team dedicated to a unique vision and purpose, TRUE stands out by providing resources that uphold the highest standards of care. The approach at TRUE focuses on treating individuals holistically, addressing physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being to foster restoration for those on a transformative journey.
