Bob Rogers is a Harvard-trained data scientist and CEO of Oii.ai, an AI company that automates supply chain design. He is an expert in digital twin technology, bringing his knowledge of modelling supermassive black holes and applying the techniques to model supply chains. He is also an Advisory Board Member for the Institute for Applied Computational Science at Harvard University, and Expert in Residence for AI at UCSF Centre for Digital Health Information.
Bob is also the co-founder and Chief Scientific Advisor at BeeKeeperAI, a healthcare AI collaboration platform. He held the position of Chief Data Scientist at Intel for 3+ years.
Bob began his career with a PhD in Physics, developing digital twins of supermassive black holes in other galaxies. In 1993, seeing the future potential impact of AI, he expanded his research to include artificial neural networks, the progenitor of modern AI technology. He co-authored the book, “Artificial Neural Networks: Forecasting Time Series,” which led to a 12-year career as Co-Founder of a quantitative futures trading fund. He received his BA in physics at University of California, Berkeley, and his PhD in physics at Harvard. He also co-authored "Demystifying AI for the Enterprise."
Bob was the lead data scientist on the team that built a tips-processing system powered by AI for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The project was called "Intel Inside, Safer Children Outside". It was the IT infrastructure for NCMEC's cyber tipline processing pipeline, and the AI that automated the localization of the crime for each incoming report.
Bob was also lead data scientist at UCSF developing the first FDA-approved AI to go into a portable medical device (an x-ray machine for the ICU).
He has been featured in numerous publications including Forbes, Inc., and InformationWeek.
In the 20 years since Facebook was first formed, Meta has morphed into something far larger than a simple social media platform.
