Carl Motter wraps his entire life around one thing: egg rolls. He began working for Van’s Kitchen in 1992 as a purchasing manager, and has worked his way up to the role of chief sales officer (CSO). Carl’s 20+ year career has included positions in purchasing, IT, procurement and sales. As CSO, he has established Van’s Kitchen’s reputation for excellence by ensuring that the company provides great tasting products with fresh ingredients at a price point that is realistic for consumers.
Throughout his years of experience managing produce sourcing, operations and finance, Carl has helped both Van’s Kitchen and its retail, convenience and foodservice partners achieve their sales goals. Carl is a true sales advisor, treating each customer as an opportunity to create a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship and leveraging his experience as a buyer to implement profitable solutions.
Carl met his wife Theresa, CEO of Van’s Kitchen, at the University of North Texas and they’ve been an inseparable team ever since. Outside of his role as CSO, Carl is active in church and community groups, volunteering with youth leadership organizations. He also holds memberships with various national food industry groups and local business associations.
