Catarina is a Legal Engineer and DeFi Regulatory Expert at Notabene, a privacy-preserving compliance platform for crypto companies. Catarina was previously Head of Legal at Fractal. She worked closely with the product team, building an identity system suited for the AML regulatory needs of crypto companies and handling all legal aspects of a public token launch, including the approval process by BaFin (the German financial supervisory authority). Before joining the crypto space, Catarina worked at a tier-one law firm in Portugal for three years.
