Charleen Sandoval brings over fifteen years of culinary experience to her role as Executive Chef at Born & Raised. Throughout her career, she has worked with culinary stars including Nancy Silverton and Michael Mina and has spent years contributing to the SoCal dining scene at San Diego institutions known for quality meat and butchery, such as Cowboy Star, The Oceanaire Seafood Room, and TRUST. Charleen joined CH Projects as Sous Chef at Born & Raised in 2022 while three months pregnant and showcased her stamina and dedication by remaining in her role until two weeks before giving birth. Upon returning, she was promoted to Executive Chef of Born & Raised. Since then, Charleen has played an essential role in the development of the restaurant’s updated menu and growth.
