Charles has nearly 30 years of experience in higher education. He earned a Ph.D. from the School of Education at Virginia Tech majoring in Instructional Design and Technology, as well as mathematics degrees from Fairmont State University (B.S.) and West Virginia University (M.S.). His professional interests are learner self-efficacy, instructional design and evaluation, and teaching and learning online.
