Before segueing into the entertainment industry, Schreger was a reporter for the Chicago and Los Angeles bureaus of Variety and a staff writer for the Los Angeles Times. Charles Schreger holds a BA degree from Brandeis University and an MS degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. He has taught journalism at the USC.
