Cheryl Fork is the founder and owner of FORK & MELON, a clean luxury soap brand created for discerning, health-conscious individuals with a cultivated sense of style—aka soap for fashion people. She also writes the intellectual style newsletter, Soap As Fashion, where she explores the intersection of personal style, health, beauty, motherhood, marriage, culture, and more.

Cheryl began her career in the New York fashion world, where she honed her eye for design and luxury. She continued to build her expertise in product development, marketing, and strategy at premium global brands, always infusing her roles with an elevated sense of style.

Facing a crossroads during her fertility journey, Cheryl entered the world of clean beauty and home products, driven by a desire to choose healthier options for products she used. Dissatisfied with the lack of stylish, clean ingredient-driven hand soaps, she leveraged her extensive background in product development, passion for skincare, and impeccable aesthetic to launch FORK & MELON in 2018.

FORK & MELON reimagines soap as a fashion statement—an essential, functional piece of personal style. With a commitment to clean, luxurious ingredients and sustainable design, the brand emphasizes timeless aesthetics, health and well-being, and environmental consciousness. Refillable and collectible bottles, paired with large soap refills, embody the brand's ethos of style, health, and sustainability. FORK & MELON has captured the attention of discerning, style-savvy consumers, including boutique hotels, one of which recently earned a Michelin key.

Fashion for your sink. Soap as fashion.

Cheryl currently lives in Carlsbad, CA with her husband and young daughter.

Cheryl notes the cover's drab colors and conventional beauty standards, questioning its "paradigm shift." Despite diverse skin tones, models share thin, perfect features. The cover may nod to early 2000s beauty trends, sparking debate on fashion's inclusivity. Cheryl suggests it was crafted to provoke discussion, highlighting the industry's contradictory approach to democratization.
