Chetan Gupta, PhD | Source | Chief Data Scientist and Head of Hitachi's Industrial AI Lab at Hitachi

As head of the Industrial AI Laboratory, Chetan is responsible for leading a large team of data scientists, architects and developers engaged in developing cutting edge solutions and opening new frontiers in the area of industrial analytics. The Lab develops fundamental horizontal technologies to build solutions such as predictive maintenance, quality, and operations monitoring and control, for industry specific verticals such as mobility, mining, building energy management systems. Chetan received his Ph.D. in Mathematics and M.S. in Mathematical Computer Science and Chemical Engineering from University of Illinois, Chicago. He has close to 50 patents either granted or under review and more than 40 publications in the area of data mining/machine learning, data stream systems, complex event processing, workload management.
