As Vice President of Digital Strategy, Chris Ferris, Ph.D., drives value for his clients by developing strategies that support their overall business goals. His strengths lie in helping organizations embrace new digital technologies to meet evolving customer expectations, including online advertising, SEO, website design, social media and analytics.

Prior to joining the Pierpont team, Ferris worked as the Vice President of Marketing at BubbleUp, the Chief Marketing Officer at 2nd.MD, and the Director of Digital Marketing and Communications at Texas Children’s Hospital. He brings over 24 years of experience in digital marketing and strategy to his clients in the technology, healthcare and energy space.

When he’s not at work, Ferris spends his time as a lecturer at the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University (Rice Business), where he teaches a self-designed digital marketing course for MBA students. He also serves as a member of the Texas Medical Center Innovation Institute Advisory Network and a member of American Marketing Association Houston. Ferris earned advanced degrees in Communication (M.A.) at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania and Health Policy (Ph.D.) at the University of Texas Health Center in Houston.
