Christiane introduced her European lifestyle brand Lemieux et Cie into the United States in late summer 2020, coinciding with the publication of her business book, "Frictionless: Why the Future of Everything Will Be Fast, Fluid, and Made Just for You" (Harper Collins Business), a 2020 Porchlight Business Book Awards Longlist title. Prior to this, Christiane founded several successful brands in the home design space. She established DwellStudio, which was acquired by Wayfair in 2013, where she served as Executive Creative Director until 2016. She later launched The Inside, a technology-driven direct-to-consumer home furnishings brand, acquired by Havenly in 2022, and co-founded Cloth & Company, a wholesale made-on-demand home furnishings brand.

Christiane is a notable figure in the business and design world. Her books, including "Undecorate" and "The Finer Things," have received critical acclaim and continue to be bestsellers. Her business acumen extends to investments in the Consumer and Tech sectors, with a focus on supporting female founders and promoting inclusivity and diversity.

Beyond her entrepreneurial pursuits, Christiane has made appearances as a co-host and judge on Ellen's Design Challenge on HGTV and is a sought-after guest on MSNBC. She was highlighted as one of Fortune’s 2012 "Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs," received House Beautiful’s Visionary award in 2020, and was recognized by Fast Company as one of the Most Innovative in 2020. In 2024, she was included in the House and Home 100.

Christiane is a graduate of Parsons School of Design and Queen’s University in Canada. She sits on the board of "Every Mother Counts," an NGO started by Christy Turlington Burns to fight maternal mortality and support women, babies, and healthcare providers. Looking ahead, Christiane's third and fourth books, “Provenance” and “The Everything Home,” are slated for publication in 2025.

Christiane advocates for bathroom rugs, highlighting their comfort, warmth, and aesthetic appeal. "A luxurious rug softens the tactile experience," she notes. Despite moisture challenges, a well-chosen rug enriches the space, offering a refined, layered look reminiscent of heritage homes and European spas.
  • Maximize Small Kitchens: Expert Tips for Adding a Table
Christiane suggests using a small round table to maintain flow and functionality. "Consider a high-top table for dual use or a banquette with a round table for maximum seating."
