A life-long gardener, Cory earned a B.S. and an M.S. in horticulture from Clemson University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Entomology. Prior to employment with Clemson Extension, he worked in the nursery trade, producing quality landscape trees and shrubs. A prolific Writer, Cory previously authored a monthly column for SC Living Magazine called SC Gardener and frequently appears as an expert panelist on SCETV's award-winning gardening program, Making It Grow!.
The plants supported by cages are generally those that are trailing or semi-vining, but not able to support themselves on a vertical structure like a trellis or arbor (such as tomato plants), or those with fragile stems that cannot support a heavy fruit load (such as some pepper plants).11 January 2022
