Dana holds a doctoral degree in Neuroscience and is deeply interested in student learning. She was previously a scientist at Bristol-Myers Squibb and SanBio, as well as a Research Fellow at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). Over the past three years, she’s transitioned from her full-time role as a neuroscientist in biotech to pursue her passion for education as a founder and CEO.
As the founder of Wavio, an edtech startup, Dana has developed software with her team that consolidates students' activity from all digital learning platforms into one place. Wavio analyzes students' progress across online tools and fully supports personalized, mastery-based learning — and the software is currently being embraced by some of the most innovative schools across the country. As she drives product design and development, manages sales and hiring, and secures awards to support the company, Dana’s mission remains clear: to create accessible, user-friendly, and affordable technological solutions that empower educators to transition seamlessly to student-centered learning models, regardless of their classroom size or budget.
Dana firmly believes in the boundless potential of every individual to shape a better world. It is her dream to enhance students' agency over their learning by providing their schools and their families with the best tools available. With a relentless commitment to creating a brighter future, she is dedicated to equipping educators with the resources they need to unlock their students' potential.
