It is good to see public and private sectors working together to get things moving again and to address record volumes at the same time. That said, this is also an opportunity to look at how we can do things better across the board. Looking beyond the current problems there are tech and data advancements such as digitization, enhanced fraud detection, and port movement optimization which when paired with policy and procedure changes would really make a difference in the long term.
