I am head of Columbia Threadneedle's US Income and Growth Strategies team. We manage funds which emphasize total return with meaningful income. Our approach focuses on fundamental research and direct comparison of securities which may reside in different asset classes but perform a similar role in portfolios. Musically speaking, I have been a professional jazz and classic rock guitarist for fifty years. Currently, I play engagements in New England, waiving compensation or re-directing it to charity. In my career I have performed with jazz artists Wayne Bergeron, Buddy DeFranco, Clark Terry and Joe Williams, Broadway and television performer Matthew Morrison and rock vocalists Brad Delp and Satch Kerans.
