CEO and Founder Dean Zimberg is building at the intersection of healthcare, human resources, and technology. In creating Perry, a public benefit corporation, Dean took a social investor company that was obsessed with understanding what a good job is and how to make employees 10+% more productive and combined it with his personal passion for healthcare. His role leverages his experience as a private equity analyst focused on the healthcare, consumer and business services sectors, as well as his learnings gained during internships at KBW, Tesla, and Nasdaq; however, creating a mission-driven organization was always his plan. Both Perry’s name and its mission to develop technology that creates good jobs in healthcare intentionally honor the legacy of a high school friend and teammate, Ryan Perry, who passed away due to a rare form of epilepsy.
Dean holds a Master of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Cornell University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Engineering from Lehigh University. He also studied International Marketing while studying abroad at UNSW Business School in Sydney, Australia. While in school, Dean participated in multiple social impact hackathons, tackling pressing issues and incubating world-changing ideas like the ones that led him to create Perry.
“Our team of engineers and data scientists are focused on one thing and that is creating good jobs in healthcare, we are all about wellbeing, and for us, that begins with access to a good job and to good healthcare.”
This weekend, a group of Lehigh University students are spending 36 hours straight on their computers.. working to solve problems.
