Div Garg is the co-founder and CEO of MultiOn, an AI company that develops autonomous agents.
Previously, Div was pursuing his PhD in AI from Stanford University and decided to drop out to start MultiOn. At Stanford, his research focused on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Reinforcement Learning, applying them to projects like AI Agents capable of winning top prizes in video game competitions, robots that could be controlled using language, and state-of-the-art autonomous driving systems with wide media coverage. He has dedicated his career to building autonomous AI systems and left his mark at tech giants like Apple, Google, and Nvidia.
Most recently, he was leading AI at a general-purpose robotics startup - Collaborative Robotics - as the first founding engineer. He is enthralled with building intelligent systems and has worked on various high-impact AI projects, ranging from self-driving cars, robotic control & Minecraft AI agents. He also created and teaches CS 25, the Transformers class at Stanford.
MULTI.ON is a browser AI assistant that automates your browsing & acts as your Web Co-Pilot. It can help you with finding any content on the web, ordering food on doordash, shopping on amazon, post on social media like Twitter, Linkedin & Messenger, fill out any forms, give shopping opinions. Basically any task you can imagine.
Nathan Labenz talks with Div Garg about MULTI\u00b7ON, the first personal AI agent, discussing product strategy, user safety, and the future of AI-driven tasks.
Nathan and Div Garg discuss AI agents' current state, future outlook, and the potential of personal bots in 2024.
"I want to unlock parallelism for humanity. Currently you can imagine we are all single-threaded, we can only do one task at a time. But if we could have AI agents you could launch, say, 100 AI agents at a time, and coordinate all the agents to do the work and have them tell you when it is done."
