Dr. Jimmy C. Sung is a highly skilled, board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He was awarded a dual full scholarship from the University of Illinois and received doctorate degrees in law (J.D.) and medicine (M.D.). He completed his plastic surgery training at the University of Pittsburgh, where he was the Chief Administrative Resident. The Pitt Plastic Surgery training program has consistently ranked best in the country. He received his bachelor’s degree in philosophy with honors from the University of Chicago. The focus of his undergraduate thesis was the aesthetics-philosophy of art.

Dr. Sung has published numerous academic journals and textbooks. He is a recipient of the Excellence in Research Award from the American College of Surgeons. His research interest is functional genomics and regenerative aesthetics.

He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), The Aesthetics Society, Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons (NESPS), The New York State Society of Plastic Surgeons (NYSSPS), American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) Committee on Regenerative Medicine, International Society of Plastic Regenerative Surgeons (ISPRS), a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a faculty member of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College.
