Asima Ahmad, MD, MPH, is Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Carrot Fertility, the leading global fertility healthcare and family-forming benefits provider for employers and health plans. As Carrot’s CMO, Asima oversees medical operations including clinical care navigation and the company’s expansive network and telehealth program.

In addition to her role at Carrot, Asima is a practicing reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist. Asima is double board-certified in reproductive endocrinology and obstetrics and gynecology. She earned a combined medical and public health degree from the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. During this time, she interned at the World Health Organization (WHO) and worked on a global health project to reduce rates of maternal mortality. She completed her residency in OB/GYN at Yale-New Haven Hospital and her fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Ahmad’s work has been published extensively in academic literature on a wide range of topics related to infertility, reproductive and hormonal health, gynecologic malignancies, and patient safety.
