Dr. Diane Alexander, MD, FACS, is an award-winning Atlanta plastic surgeon with over twenty years of experience. She is passionate about helping women achieve their desired beauty and confidence through expertly performed breast, body, and facial cosmetic and reconstructive procedures.
In 2000, Dr. Diane Alexander co-founded the first all-woman physician plastic surgery practice in Atlanta, now known as Artisan Plastic Surgery. As an artist and a surgeon, she has expanded her expertise into skincare and wellness at Artisan Beauté, offering a 360-degree approach to health, beauty, and wellness. Artisan Beauté and Plastic Surgery serve over 70,000 patients.
Dr. Diane Alexander is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). She is also an American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) member. Her leadership roles have included serving as the Chief of Surgery at Northside Hospital. Recognized for her contributions to the field, the Consumers Research Council of America named her one of the top plastic surgeons in America. Dr. Diane Alexander has been named a Top Doctor by Atlanta Magazine every year since 2014 and was recognized as the Best Facelift and Body Surgeon in the South 2023 by Cure for Aging. Her academic background is as distinguished as her medical career. Dr. Diane Alexander graduated cum laude from Yale University, where she studied history, art, political science, and pre-medical courses and performed as a cellist with the Yale Symphony. She earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1990, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society and continued to play cello in a local orchestra.
Dr. Diane Alexander completed her general and plastic surgery residency programs at Emory University. During her clinical training, she worked as a fellow in the transplant immunology department with Drs. Chris Larsen and Tom Pearson, performing micro-surgical techniques such as mouse heart transplants. Her research efforts were supported by grants from the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. Additionally, she has co-published dozens of articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and lectured extensively in the United States and abroad. Early in her career, Dr. Diane Alexander served on the Georgia Breast Cancer Coalition board, demonstrating her commitment to advancing women's health.
