Dr. Faranak Kamangar is a Silicon Valley-based board-certified dermatologist, engineer, and thought leader in the telehealth field. In her Palo Alto practice, she is dedicated to removing barriers for patients and physicians alike.

In August 2023, Dr. Kamangar founded DermGPT, an innovative, first-of-its-kind AI tool that curates answers from more than 2,000 peer reviewed journals to help dermatologists improve clinical efficiency through practical colleague-like answers.

Dr. Kamangar is a co-founder of PSO Telehealth where she passionately removes barriers for patients to obtain the care and the medications they need for good health and clear skin.

Beyond her extensive clinical and telehealth work, Dr. Kamangar’s career has been marked by alma maters like UC Davis and UCSF, and today she serves as the Chair of the Palo Alto Medical foundation and President of the San Francisco Dermatological Society.

Dr. Kamangar has also received national attention being featured in national publications including Medical News Today, Women's Health, Business Insider, and others, along with recently launching the podcast The Future of Dermatology.

Dr. Kamangar is a first-generation San Franciscan raised in the bay area. She is deeply motivated by the power of hard work and solving problems.
