Dr Jaime Baquero is an EEG and epilepsy-trained Child Neurologist with more than 25 years of experience treating children with neurological conditions including epilepsy, autism, headaches, cerebral palsy, Tourette’s syndrome, ADHD, dyslexia, and other developmental disorders. Dr. Baquero earned his medical degree from the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Urena in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He went on to complete his pediatric and neurological residency trainings. He then completed his fellowship training in neurophysiology and epilepsy at Miami Children’s Hospital. He now practices in Boca Raton and is currently on staff at West Boca Medical Center, Delray Medical Center, Palmetto General Hospital, and Bethesda Memorial Hospital.
It affects roughly 80% of people with the condition.
Physical therapy works with gross motor skills, like rolling over, crawling, and walking, whereas occupational therapy works more with the arms and upper extremities on fine motor skills like pencil grasping, the transfer of objects from one hand to the other, and using utensils.
