Dr. Jeff Chen, MD, is one of the most well-trusted advocates of plant medicine and has been consulted by Congresses, leading academic and scientific institutions, physician groups, and more. He is the Founder of the UCLA Cannabis Research Initiative, one of the first in the world. Under his leadership as Executive Director, the initiative grew to encompass more than 40 faculty conducting research, education, and policy projects.

He is the now the Cofounder and CEO of Radicle Science, which is revolutionizing healthcare and validating nonprescription health products. He most recently led the largest randomized trial of CBD in history, generating the first data of its kind.

Dr. Jeff has been previously interviewed by CNN, TIME, NPR, Rolling Stone, Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur, Politico, INSIDER and more for his research and expertise. His writings have been published by many outlets, including TED. He appears on TV shows like “The Doctors,” NBC News, CBS Sunday, and in interviews with public figures like Jonathan Van Ness, Lake Bell, Ryan Tedder, & Governor John Hickenlooper.

Dr. Jeff travels across 5 continents to speak at venues ranging from the Mexico Senate to the Royal Court of the Kingdom of Bhutan to SXSW, and he's guest lectured at universities such as Yale, Columbia, and NYU.

He’s a David Geffen Fellow, UCLA Wolfen Entrepreneur, Anderson Fellow, U.S. patent holder, published author in cannabinoid, oncology, and radiology research, and was selected as a Mentor for U.S. National Institutes of Health I-CORPs startup accelerator. He is also an advisor to Healthline.

Dr. Jeff attended medical school and business school concurrently at UCLA on a full merit scholarship. He ranked in the 95th percentile amongst U.S. physicians on national U.S. Medical Licensing Exams. For his clinical performance, Dr. Jeff earned the highest achievable marks of "Distinction" in Neurology, Pediatrics, Family Medicine, and Surgery.

He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cornell University, where he studied Music, Business, and Biology for his Bachelor's degrees. He’s also a lifelong musician and singer and has performed in choirs, a cappella groups, rock bands, and as a solo artist at venues ranging from Carnegie Hall to Dodger Stadium to the Vatican!
