Dr. Gerberding is a world-renowned public health, infectious disease, and biosecurity expert. She was the first woman to serve as Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and is currently President and CEO of the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Gerberding also served as Merck’s Chief Patient Officer & EVP, and President of its Vaccines division. She is on Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women in the World & Time’s 100 Most Influential People in the World lists.
