Kent serves as a faculty member within the Counseling Department at Saybrook University. In addition to serving in a faculty role, Kent served as Program Director and dean for the College of Social Sciences. Before joining Saybrook in 2014, he taught in graduate counseling programs at the University of Wyoming for sixteen years. During this time Kent served as Department Chair for six years and doctoral program coordinator for twelve years. Over the years, Kent has taught a variety of counseling courses including, Basic Counseling Skills, Group Counseling & Psychotherapy, RC Experientials, RC ProSeminars, Family Systems Theory, Structure & Dynamics of the Family, Couple and Family Counseling, Advanced Family Therapy, Counseling Ethics, Doctoral Seminars, Instructional Theory & Practice, Leadership & Advocacy, Counseling Practicum, Group Counseling Practicum, Couple and Family Practicum, and Supervised Internship.
