Dr. Kevin Karlson is an experienced consultant, insightful executive coach, and talented strategist. He is an entrepreneur who has launched two for-profit and one non-profit organizations and a multi-degreed, award winning author and professor. His coaching and consulting clients have included Nokia, Blockbuster, Texas Instruments Strategic Leadership Center, Cooper Institute, as well as many legal, medical, and mental health professionals and several startup businesses including Microbicbloc, LLC. His adjunct academic appointments have included UT Southwestern Medical School, SMU Dedman Law School, UTD Cohort MBA Program, and SMU Cox Business School Business Leadership Center.
His professional and charitable work have led to leadership opportunities in a wide variety of organizations. He was a founding member of In the City for Good (an inner city ministry partnership and strategy advisor for Mother’s Against Teen Violence), Chair of the Ethics Committee of the Dallas Psychological Association, Chair of the Legislative Committee of the Texas Psychological Association, President of PSYPAC (Psychology Political Action Committee), member of Committee on Practice and Professional Services of the American Psychological Association, President of Children’s Arts and Ideas Foundation in Dallas, and recently, as a member of the Outreach Advisory Board at Gateway Frisco, where he is an active member and greeter.
Born in Madison, South Dakota, Kevin is an avid golfer, sailor, musician, writer, former college tennis player, and gourmand. He is an impressionist art and jazz afficionado, and hopeful Dallas Cowboys fan.
