Dr Mohan Rajesh Elara | Source | Co-Founder at LionsBot

Dr Mohan is the Co-Founder of LionsBot, a fast-growing, Singapore-headquartered smart robotics company that develops professional cleaning robots with personality. A renowned world leader in reconfigurable robotics, he leads the research and development of the company’s cleaning robot technologies.

Besides his role at LionsBot, Dr Mohan is an Assistant Professor at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and a visiting faculty member at Zhejiang University in China. Having joined the SUTD’s engineering and product development faculty in 2011, he has over a decade of professional teaching and research experience, particularly in the field of reconfigurable robotics and autonomous systems. An active participant in the research community, his academic work has been published in over 200 international publications, books, and journals.

Gaining recognition for his robotics design and engineering solutions, Dr Mohan has received multiple awards over the years, including the SG Mark Design Award, ASEE Best of Design in Engineering Award, IDA Design Award, Tan Kah Kee Young Inventors’ Award, and A’ Design award.

Dr Mohan holds a PhD and MSc degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Prior to his postgraduate education, he received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Bharathiar University, India.
