Dr Rina's expertise is in great demand as one of the few exotic companion mammal specialists globally. She is a prolific author of numerous chapters in exotic medical textbooks, case reports, and research articles in peer-reviewed journals. Some of these include the Journal of Exotic Pet Medicine, several zoological journals, and most recently, the Veterinary Clinics of North America: Exotic Animal Practice. She is also a member and an exam vice chair representative for the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners for Exotic Companion Mammals.
As a diplomate of both the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners certified in Exotic Companion Mammal Practice and The American College of Exotic Pet Medicine, and a strong advocate for scientific and evidence-based medicine, Dr Maguire single-handedly raised the standard of exotic pet medicine in Singapore with her establishment of Beecroft Exotics in 2019.
Over-the-counter antihistamines, nasal sprays, immunotherapy, changing your pet’s diet, pet shampoos and wipes, HEPA air filters… how do these methods stack up? We find out.
