Dr. Rod Fontecilla | Source | Chief Innovation Officer at Guidehouse

Dr. Rod Fontecilla is a partner and the Chief Innovation Officer. He oversees the firm’s strategic research and development efforts, advances initiatives to expand corporate technical competencies and capabilities, and fosters the development of innovative solutions for current and prospective clients.

Rod has more than 25 years of experience leading teams and creating solutions using advanced data analytics, synthetic data generation, computer vision, and robotic processing automation in support of health, federal civilian, and national security agencies. Additionally, he has held technical leadership roles focused on software engineering, cloud integration, cyber security, and data analytics.

Rod previously served as the Dovel Chief Innovation Officer and Chief Data Scientist, where he led all aspects of technology development in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and predictive analytics, including dataanalytics, software engineering, application modernization, and cloud computing. He also drove the company’s robust innovation program, assessed emerging technologies used to solve customer mission challenges, and created Dovel’s Innovation and Technology Group (ITG).
