Dr. Shika Pappoe completed her undergraduate and medical degrees at Yale, followed by her internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship at Brigham and Women’s. During her fellowship, she also earned an MPH from Havard. She started her career in private practice in Southern California and then joined the nephrology division at USC, working at LA County Hospital, one of the country’s largest safety-net hospitals. After working in a variety of healthcare settings and seeing both the broken parts of the system and opportunities for innovation, she decided to be part of the solution. She currently serves as member of the Culina Health Advisory Board.
