  • Ozempic Teeth: Unveiling Potential Dental Side Effects
Dr. Katz highlights "Ozempic Teeth," a term for dental issues reported by patients on Ozempic. He notes that side effects like dry mouth and acid exposure can lead to decay and gum disease. Dr. Katz advises seeking endodontist care to prevent serious problems, including tooth loss.
  • Fluoride Removal from Water: A Risk to Dental Health
Dr. Katz warns that removing fluoride from water could increase tooth decay, especially in underserved communities. "Fluoride strengthens enamel, reducing decay by 25-50%." Without it, dental costs rise, impacting low-income families. Misconceptions about fluoride's health risks persist, but studies show its safety. Katz advocates for continued water fluoridation as a cost-effective, preventive measure endorsed by major health organizations.
