Steven retired from the United States Air Force in the rank of Major in 2021, following 28 continuous years of active duty military service. Major (Retired) Ramos began his military career as an Airman Basic (E-1) in August 1993, almost immediately after completing high school. His duties in the Air Force included training special operations personnel in Combat Military Freefall Operations, accumulating over 2,000 freefall parachute jumps in support of military training operations, as well as the Wings of Blue Parachute Team at the United States Air Force Academy, in Colorado Springs, CO.
